Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display, sponsored by Hugh Umbel Companies. Starting at 9:30 p.m., fireworks will be launched from the top of Bear Claw Tubing Park at Wisp Resort onto the waters of Deep Creek Lake. Viewing spots include the scenic overlook on Rt. 219, McHenry Cove on Deep Creek Lake and businesses in McHenry. Rain date: July 5th.

MSO Salute to Independence

Since 1986, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra has presented a free “Salute to Independence” Concert at Antietam National Battlefield near Sharpsburg, MD. Held on the first Saturday of July, the “Salute” has been billed as “Maryland’s Most Patriotic Event” and has also been recognized by the American Bus Association as “One of the Top 100 Events in North America.” The evening concert attracts nearly 35,000 people from all over and is capped off by a spectacular fireworks display, one of the largest in the region. This year’s special guest, folk singer/songwriter Jennie Avila, will be performing her original songs of the Civil War. 301-797-4000

Frederick’s 4th – An Independence Day Celebration is a premier 4th of July event, both locally and statewide. Regional and national entertainment will begin at noon, and visitors can enjoy a day packed with free rides, activities and entertainment. Havre de Grace Independence Day Celebration

Bring the entire family to the carnival at Havre de Grace’s Tydings Park (6:00-10:30 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday, 4:00-10:30 p.m. on Saturday and 3:00-9:45 on Sunday). The five-day celebration will be capped off on Sunday with a parade at 2:00 p.m., a concert at 7:00 p.m., and of course, a spectacular fireworks display at dusk approx. 9:00 p.m.

Independence Day Naturalization Ceremony

Robert Clark will host the naturalization ceremony, U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services officials will give the Oath of Allegiance to the candidates, Annapolis High School’s JROTC unit will provide a cadet color guard, and the All Children’s Chorus of Annapolis will sing the National Anthem.

July 4th Celebration: Festival and Fireworks

County Executive Allan Kittleman invites you to the Columbia Lakefront for an evening of family fun and fireworks. This year’s event will feature live entertainment and more! Stay tuned to www.howardcountymd.gov/rap for the celebration activities schedule; available after June 1. Finally, the fireworks will begin at dusk. Please note that Little Patuxent Parkway will be closed at 7:00 p.m. and will not be reopened until the conclusion of the fireworks display. Rain date: July 5.

Annapolis Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks

The Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will travel along West Street, around Church Circle, and down Main Street to the City Dock. Then, visit Susan Campbell Park at 8:00 p.m. for a performance by the Naval Academy’s Concert Band, followed by a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.

Baltimore’s Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration

Commemorate Independence Day with live music and celebratory fireworks in the heart of downtown Baltimore. The event will showcase music by U.S. Navy Band Cruisers and other performers starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater on Pratt and Light Streets. At 9:30 p.m., Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will kick off the multicolored fireworks, which can be viewed from several locations downtown and in the surrounding neighborhoods of Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, and Harbor East.

This outdoor celebration features patriotic favorites such as Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, topped off with dazzling fireworks. Plus, hear the winner of the BSO’s famed “O, Say Can You Sing?” contest perform The Star-Spangled Banner. Come out early for food trucks and fun! Gates open at 5 pm.
Event tickets available online at $18 for adults and $9 for children. Tickets will also be available at the gate at $20 for adults and $10 for children. Parking at Oregon Ridge Park is $12 in advance, $15 on-site. Free parking is available on July 3&4 with a complimentary shuttle at a new and closer remote lot.

Fireworks Over The Bay

The Town of Chesapeake presents “Fireworks Over The Bay” on the day before Independence Day.
